Hey Michael! I just wanted to say that I
think you are an amazing actor! And I just read all of the Q & A answers down there, and I think you are a really smart guy!
Now I just have to think of a question to ask you that nobody else has asked you yet, lol! If you could go to one place
in the world, where would you go and why? And do you have a myspace or YouTube account? Answer if you can! Take care and
stay safe!(maybe next time I ask you something, I will have better questions! XD)
Mike responds...
Hey Ariel, If I could go anywhere, I
would probably go to France. I'm not sure why, I've just always been attracted to the landscape there. And yes, I do have
a myspace and YouTube account.

Amy from Lafayette, LA writes...
Hey Michael,
Hey. I read in your other questions that you would like to pursue a role with deeper character and such. I'm not sure if this
is true, but from what I've perceived, I feel like most young (or younger) actors get all caught up in the teen drama type
roles (if that made any sense.) There's not as many actors/actresses that actually play a role with a lot of depth. Have you
ever noticed this? Do you ever feel pressure to become the type of actor who is always the teen sensation? How do you deal
with it? P.S. I'm sorry if it seems like I'm putting down other actors and such, I respect actors of any genre.
Mike responds...
Hey Amy, I have noticed that before,
and I think most of them do that because teen drama roles are much more abundant out here than the kind of roles that I'm
looking for. I haven't really felt pressure to become that type of actor though, because it's never appealed to me. I do,
however, get frustrated because I am sent out on roles like that all the time, but I deal with it by writing my own short
films, with roles I would love to play. In fact, I'm gonna be traveling to Arizona soon to shoot a thriller I wrote called
"Mary Mary". I'm gonna be playing the role of a mentally unstable kidnapper, lol, it sounds grave, but it's stuff like that
I enjoy playing.

Sydney from Vancouver, WA writes...
Hey Michael,
Hi, I was just wondering was Miley scared for the kiss or were you?
Mike responds...
Hey Sydney,
For the kiss, I wasn't really scared -- it's acting -- so I had nothing to really worry about. Miley might have been cause
I think she had a boyfriend at the time, but I'm not really sure of that. I will say that I was a little scared when I first
met her, because I've never met anybody with that kind of international stardom -- so I was nervous to say the least.

Aliana from Levant, ME writes...
Hey Mike,
:) I was wondering, what is the project you liked working on the most?
Mike responds...
Hey Aliana,
I would definitely have to say "Medium." The reason being that I never really get the opportunity to play a mean character,
so it was fun to do something different for a change.

Hey Micheal,
I found out on Disney Channel that you were in Hannah Montana and I checked YouTube - you guys kissed and blah blah blah snobby
parents blah blah blah but i want to ask if you'll continue to be in Hannah Montana as her 'boyfriend'? If you do That will
be AMAZING!!!
Mike responds...
Hey Audrey,
I'm not sure if I will or not, I haven't heard anything from them since I shot the episode, so from the looks of it, probably
not.
Your friend, Mickey
Note from Mike's dad:
Keep in mind if you liked Michael in Hannah Montana, you can always write to Disney and tell them how much you enjoyed seeing
Mike in the show. It may seem hard to believe but the people at Disney really do listen to their fans.
Maja from Europe writes...
Hey Micheal,
I just saw the episode in which you were the guest star and I thought you were a good actor so I looked your name up and found
your website. I went through the questions posted on your 4Fans part of the site and read what that girl asked you about your
personality, and about what your dad answered. If that's true, then I really want to tell you that it's great that you stood
up for that kid and that if there were more guys like you, the world and the girls in this world would be much happier *smiles*.
My question is: what kind of a movie genre would you prefer acting in?
Mike responds...
Hey Maja,
Thanks for the kind words. While I appreciate all of my fans, it's good to know there are people out there who take an interest
in my career rather than focus on one role. As for your question, I prefer to act in drama. I love character acting. Some
examples of character roles I have enjoyed are: Jack Sparrow played by Johnny Depp; The Joker, played by the late Heath Ledger;
and Sirius Black or Sid Vicious played by Gary Oldman. I'm also a huge fan of dark roles such as Brad Pitt's role in Kalifornia,
or Christian Bale's role in American Psycho. I would really enjoy acting in any role with depth. Hopefully I'll be able to
get the chance one of these days. Thanks for your question.

Hey Micheal,
It's Darlene again. You're totally right about how we never know what's going to happen in the future. Do you plan on going
to college after high school? If you do, what would you major in?
Mike responds...
Hey Darlene,
I don't really plan on going to college, but if I did, I would be interested in going to film school. Other than that, I
also thought about going to school to be an MRI Technician. Of course, I want to stay in California to act, but it's probably
wise to have a backup plan in case things don't work out.

This is Amy again. I was wondering if you received my card I sent to your fan mailbox? If you did, I hope you like it!

Hey Amy,
Yes, I did. I appreciate you taking the time to write to me. Good luck in your new hometown.

Note from Mike's dad:
Just a note for anyone who would like to write a letter to Michael... Please understand that all letters sent to Mike in care
of his agent take awhile to be forwarded to him. Once his agent receives the letters, they are put into a holding box until
someone from the agency has the time to send them on to Mike. As a result, a good rule of thumb is to expect delivery to take
2-3 times as long as normal mail delivery.
Darlene from Downey, CA writes...
Hey Micheal,
I saw your episode on Hannah Montana. You were great. So I was just wondering; do you have a girlfriend? p.s. it would be
great to meet you one day. but I highly doubt you would come to my city.
Mike responds...
Hey Darlene,
As I said below, I have been in an on-again, off-again relationship for awhile now. And right now I guess you could say I
am single. But you never know when that could change. As for Downey, I have never been there, but you never know what the
future may hold. I just live up the 5 from you in Glendale, so who knows? Thanks for all your kind words and support.

Hi Michael,
Do you like Miley Cyrus better as an actor or singer? Do you love Miley? Do you think Jake or Jesse McCartney suits Miley
more, apart from you? Please answer my questions....my friends don't even believe you exist...and they call me a fool!! But
I love you!! You're sooo cute!
Mike responds...
Hey Pooja,
I can't really answer with much confidence, but if I had to pick one, I think I like her better as a singer. And no, I don't
think I love her. I would also have to say that Cody Linley (if that's who you're referring to) or Jesse McCartney would
probably suit her better than myself, just because they seem to run in the same circles. Thanks for the compliment. I appreciate
your support.

Hi Michael,
I was just wondering if would you ever date a fan?

Possibly. It wouldn't matter if she were an actress, a musician, a fan, or someone I met on the street. If I liked her and
wanted to pursue something, I probably would.

Hi Michael,
This is Michelle again and I need to know if you would ever change your mind about acting and modeling??
Mike responds...
Hey Michelle,
I don't think I will. I don't really model much anymore, and I don't mind too much because I see myself more as an actor.
I don't think I'd change my mind, because this is the only life I've known for years, and it's the only thing that feels right.

Hi Michael,
Okay, so first of all I saw you on Hannah Montana and the truth is, to me, you look like a cross between Leonardo DiCaprio,
Chace Crawford, and Ben McKenzie, not to mention you're an amazing actor!!! Second, I hear you play guitar, sing, and write
music?!? Thats so awesome! I was wondering what some of your favorite covers are so that I could learn to play them on my
own guitar and have a little inspiration from one of my favorite actors!
Mike responds...
What's going on Rachel,
I play tons of covers, but recently I've been playing stuff like "Old Man" by Neil Young, "Superman's Dead" by Our Lady Peace,
"The Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carol" by Bob Dylan, and "What I Got" by Sublime. Thanks for the support. Lates..

Leanne C. from Newcastle, UK writes...
Hi Michael,
Did you enjoy your kiss with Miley Cyrus and do you like her?
Mike responds...
Hey Leanne,
Yeah, I guess I did. She had a boyfriend at the time, so it was definitely more of a professional thing. I do like her - I
don't really have any reason not to - but it isn't a relationship kind of "like", if that's what you were wondering. Nothing
against her but I just don't know her that well. And I'm not really sure we are the type for each other, anyway. At least,
not in real life! lol

Amy from Galesburg, IL writes...
Hi Michael,
My name is Amy and I was wondering what your personality is like? Not in a stalking way but i just wondered since you weren't
described as the type of guy you acted like in Hannah Montana.
Mike responds...
Hey Amy,
Wow, good question. I would consider myself more of an abstraction, like a temporary solution to a larger problem. I don't
think I can explain it with much confidence. But what I can say about my personality is that I love to make people think.
If I can get someone to form their own individual opinion, instead of falling for stereotypes, I feel like I've done something
right, I guess.
Your friend, Michael
Note from Mike's dad:
Hi Amy! Mike's right. He makes his mother and I think a lot about him from time to time, whether we like it or not!!! Seriously
though, his personality is not too different than his character, Trey. Just deeper, much deeper. And much more complex,
passionate, and occasionally hard to understand! He is also a very private person who will not open up easily to others unless
they are both patient and sincere.
Mike is a very caring and honorable individual who has never really run with the crowd. For example, back in 7th grade, he
gave up his popularity (due in large part to being a star athlete) when he stepped in to defend a younger kid when the boy
was being picked on by another popular gang-banger kid in the 8th grade. They almost got into a nasty fight (lucky for the
older boy they didn't!) but Mike stood his ground until the other kids left the boy alone. Unfortunately, Mike lost a lot
of friends as a result!
Mike is also the kind of boy who - if you were to go out with him - would rather take you to dinner and a movie while
giving you his full attention rather than take you out with a group of kids. Most girls his age are honestly not quite ready
for how mature and genuine he really is. He has no tolerance for the games people play and would rather be a recluse in his
room writing music with his guitar than try to be popular. The girl who wins his heart will have her work cut out for her.
He's one of the most caring and passionate guys you will ever meet but will disappear in a flash at the first sign of insincerity!
Hope that helps! Thanks for your question, Amy!

Michelle from Crosby, TX writes...
Will you ever join a band?
Mike responds...
Hey Michelle,
Probably not, I love music with a passion (so much so you will rarely see me without headphones), but I don't think I would
join a band. I was in a band about a half a year back called "League Of Our Own," but I decided to leave due to musical differences.
I love to play all kinds of music, from rock, to reggae, to jazz, to industrial; it's all fair game. So I find it difficult
to stick to one
genre long enough to get back into a band.
Your friend, Michael
Note from Mike's dad:
Hi Michelle! Besides Mike's natural gift as an actor (and now screenwriter!), he has been blessed with plenty of natural musical
aptitude. While he is not a child prodigy, he has unusually diverse and complex tastes in music for someone of his age -
ranging from Pink Floyd, to Pat Metheny, to Johnny Cash, to classical music to whatever is popular at the moment. My wife
and I have considered having his headphones surgically implanted in his head but that would likely interfere with his acting!
(just kidding!)
The last time he played with anyone was with one of our former neighbors, the talented India Dupre (see her video below) who
is a regular musician on the LA club scene. Perhaps someday Mike will find someone who has the same intense love of music
he does and will succeed in luring him into a band but I wouldn't hold your breath! Thanks for your question!

Hi Michael, how are you? I am the person who put the Spanish version of the Hannah Montana "Test of My Love" video on youtube
(www.youtube.com/katiuskacastro3) where you were the co-star. That was where I saw you for the first time. My question for
you is: what did you think of working with the series' cast? My other question is: how did it feel when working next to Miley
Cyrus? Sorry for my English because I'm still learning! Going to live in the United States would be my dream come true! I
love you! Bye!
Mike responds...
Hey Kati,
Thanks for writing! I really enjoyed working with the cast of the show; they were all very accomodating. Working next to Miley
was a rush, because before that I hadn't really worked with anyone who was internationally known. So it was, at times, quite
nerve-racking! She was courteous and respectful, especially to her fans. That was the one thing I will remember about her:
she was amazing to her fans. She took the time to sign autographs, take pictures, or just chat a little bit with each of
them, all with a sincere smile on her face. You never know, maybe I'll get another chance to work with all of them someday.
Your friend, Michael
Note from Mike's dad:
Kati's video is the one we we linked to on the News page of this website. It was fun to watch!
Thanks, Kati!
Roxxy from Baton Rouge, LA writes...
Hi Mike! I'm an aspiring actress. I will be graduating from high school in a few months. I will also be attending Chambers
Stevens Hollywood boot camp this summer. My plan is to move to Los Angeles and take some acting classes and work on my acting
career. My parents aren't too keen on me moving to Los Angeles. I don't want to stay here because I just feel the opportunities
in L.A are so unlimited and I can't get an agent or go to auditions by staying here. I need advice on what you think would
be the best idea for me to do? And how do I work on getting an agent?
Mike responds...
Hey Roxxy,
Your parents' hesitation is justifiable because acting doesn't have a lot of job security. But if you want to move out
here to pursue it, I suggest the first thing you do is get a regular job with a flexible schedule so you can go to auditions.
It might not sound all that great, but waiting tables is one of the more common jobs for actors and actresses. And it also
allows you to meet people in the business.
As for my opinion as to what you should do, if you truly believe you want to come out here and act, then you should.
Just make sure you understand the pros and cons of moving out here. L.A. isn't the really glamorous place the media portrays
it to be. It can change you, and not in a good way. You have to make sure you have a strong head on your shoulders, because
I have personally seen people fall victim to the temptations of this city. Now don't get me wrong, it has its benefits, too.
I'm just trying to caution you. Whatever you do, always remember where you came from; never lose sight of that.
On getting an agent, I would suggest getting some headshots taken, and sending them - with your acting resume attached
- to as many agents as possible before you come out! That way, if there is interest, you can try to arrange interviews while
you are out here for the boot camp. Best of luck to you in whatever you choose to do.
Your friend, Michael
Mike's father responds...
Hi Roxxy.
I just wanted to touch on a few things Mike did not mention. I fully understand your parents' apprehension. After all,
you (and your brothers and/or sisters, if you have any) are the most precious gifts your parents have in this world. And
they are likely very protective of you. As they should be!!!
L.A. is a very young, expensive (!!!), and fast moving town with a LOT of undesirable people who prey on star-struck newbies
who arrive by the hundreds every day. Even we, as Mike's parents, have had numerous challenges in moving out here to allow
Mike to pursue his passion. There is no bullet-proof user guide or instruction manual for how to survive in this city! And
if you are not used to being on your own, that makes it even more challenging. Lots of people - even the roommates you will
likely need to afford living out here - may act friendly at first but might throw you to the wolves the very next moment.
Remember, there are already thousands of young kids - like you and Mike - who are already out here scratching and clawing
for any break they can get. I have said it before and I cannot say it enough - this is the most competitive career on the
planet! If you aren't ready for that kind of no-holds-barred competition, then don't even think about it!
One of the biggest mistakes kids make in coming out here is that they lose sight of their original goals. Mike touched
on this briefly. With all the distractions and parties, kids will often get wrapped up in a dizzying lifestyle and quickly
forget what they came out to do. Or worse, they hook up with one of the many vultures who make plenty of idle promises of
getting you inside closed doors - all for a cost you may not be prepared to pay. Pretty soon, your life is out of control
and you get hurt.
I understand Baton Rouge is not Hollywood. Opportunities may be limited. However, you might want to at least consider
someplace closer - like Dallas - that has a more active commercial market in order to test your wings. Believe me, if you
cannot get an agent to take you in Dallas, you will find it hard to get a reputable agent in Hollywood to represent you. After
you build up a resume and get used to surviving on your own, it would be a little easier to make the transition to L.A.
If that just won't do, then perhaps consider trying Hollywood on a trial basis - like a year. You will need to do plenty
of research - get all the books you can such as Acting for Dummies, etc. - and plan your budget before you even go. And if
you don't know what kind of rent you will need to pay or where you should get an apartment or job, you have no business even
getting on the bus.
And whatever you do, listen to your parents. They may not know a lot about Hollywood (who could?) but they DO know a lot
about YOU - whether you like it or don't. And one thing is certain: more than anyone in L.A., your parents care about you
and your future! Please keep that in mind!
Good luck to you!

Chris from Cheshire, UK writes...
Annasophia Robb is amazing, is there any way I could ever meet her? You all do a great job, and good idea having a Q and

Mike responds...
Hey Chris,
Anything is possible. Other than auditioning with her, I don't really know her very well personally. If you would like
to get in touch with her, try writing to her in care of her manager (see the address in one of the answers below.) Thanks
for you question. Your friend, Michael.
Ivan from Strumica, Macedonia writes...
In what city do you live?
Mike responds...
Hey Ivan,
Up until a few weeks ago, I lived in Toluca Lake, California. It was great because I was so close to my agent and most
of the studios. But then my parents decided we needed to move to a bigger place in Glendale, about 5 miles away from our
last home. Thanks for the question. Your friend, Michael
