That was great news on this, his final day of filming on the Untitled Alan Ball project feature film where Mr. Ball was kind enough to tell Mike he "DELIVERED!" We will keep you all posted when this film finally gets a title and when it is expected to hit theaters.

If that were not enough good news, we also found out Mike got a callback for an upcoming Saturn commercial. He goes into the callback tomorrow afternoon! Break a leg, Mike!

Mike's manager, Myrna Lieberman, was kind enough to tell us she thinks Mike has finally gotten his break and is on his way... We think so, too!

And thanks to all of you out there who have continued to support Mike in the pursuit of his dream!

He has booked one of the supporting roles in a new, highly anticipated feature film by Academy Award-winning writer, Alan Ball !!! For those of you with short memories, Mr. Ball won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for the movie, American Beauty, which won the Oscar for Best Picture in 1999. In addition, Mr. Ball is also the creator of the highly acclaimed television series, Six Feet Under.

The new feature film is yet untitled but will star Aaron Eckhart, Toni Collette and Maria Bello in a story about a young girl who struggles with issues of identity and sexuality as the daughter of a Lebanese- American father and an American mother in Texas during the Gulf War. It is about the clash of the East vs. the West in modern day America.

Way to go Mike!!!

Once again, Mike has landed another national commercial. This time it's for Charter Communications for their combined cable, telephone and internet services. Mike goes to wardrobe tomorrow (Monday, August 7th) and the shoot is scheduled for Wednesday. Before Mike went in for this audition, he said he was feeling really comfortable with himself in auditions. He no longer felt as if he were competing with other kids for his roles. Instead, he felt very much at ease and relaxed. Believe me, it showed!

Last week, after several slow weeks, Mike had an exceptionally hectic schedule as he had SEVEN auditions in just 3 days. When it is that busy, I honestly do not know how he keeps from confusing the sides for each audition.

This upcoming week, he already has one callback as well as another film audition scheduled in addition to shooting the commercial. So much for a summer break, huh?

Anyway, congratulations, Mike! Break a leg this week!

Congratulations, Mike!

Mike has been selected for the leading role of Drew (a series regular) in the Cynergy Films' television pilot production of "Buzz" which will also star Sharon Lawrence of NYPD Blue fame (see link below for Sharon's website). Sharon will co-produce the pilot with award-winning director, Bruce Hickey, who will also direct the series pilot.

"Buzz" will be a hip new series that will be set at a fictional university located in Los Angeles that also contains a laboratory high school. Buzz is the university online newspaper which employs both college and high school students as they intermingle in pursuing stories for the paper all while helping one another through the myriad problems with life and relationships faced by each of the characters.

The proposed series will also contain a web component which will allow fans of the series to interact with the characters. It is an exciting new concept being pioneered by Bruce Hickey that incorporates many of today's modern technologies into the portrayal of both the humorous and dramatic lessons of teenage life. Filming has already started.

We look forward to seeing the series pilot and wish Bruce the best of luck in selling this to one of the networks!
