CONGRATULATIONS, MIKE!!! We just got a call this evening from Michael's manager that he just booked a new nationwide Nickelodeon station promo! This one will be used to promote a new show appearing on Nickelodeon. He will be shooting it sometime next week. We will let you all know when the promo is scheduled to be aired on Nickelodeon.

Mike auditioned for it over a week or so ago and never heard back about any callbacks. Then, out of the blue, his agent told his manager the casting people called and told them Mike was one of the top 3 kids being considered for the project. Of course, we were excited but, again, there was no further mention of any callbacks. Then, suddenly, we got the call that he won it outright! Great job, Michael! We are so proud of you!

Also... as a result of this job, we found out that Michael is now considered SAG Eligible. That means he is eligible to join the Screen Actors Guild. Actors who are either members of SAG or are SAG Eligible will often tend to be offered roles in major films and television shows over actors who are strictly considered non-union. In order to become SAG Eligible, you have to have worked at least 3 SAG-qualifying jobs.

Michael's career continues to develop very rapidly as he is still under consideration for the lead role in a new Disney Channel television series as well as one of the lead roles in a new made-for-Television movie. Please keep checking back as Michael's career is beginning to take off! And thanks, again, to all of you for your kind support!

WOW! We have just received an invitation from Brian Marcus, the president of ProScout (the people who discovered Mike) for Michael to be their SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER (!!!) at their upcoming ProScout Invitational event in Orange County, CA this November!!!

Brian has expressed his sincere congratulations to Mike for his rapid and significant progress during the short year since Michael's appearance at the Phoenix ProScout Invitational back in July, 2004 (where he received 4 callbacks by top agents.) Brian believes featuring Michael as the Special Guest for this upcoming Invitational will serve to inspire the many hundreds of aspiring models and actors that will be in attendance!

This will be a new experience for Mike since he will likely be speaking to a crowd of upwards of 2000 or more people (when you include parents)! Mike is excited and genuinely appreciative of the opportunity! ProScout is the largest and most successful model/talent scouting organization in the world with discoveries of many successful actors and models from around North America.

We genuinely appreciate all ProScout has done for Mike and will continue to support them in any way we can. I have included a link (below) to their website. Congratulations, Mike!!!

Whew! Sorry for the ultra long delay but we have turned into the prototypical "split" Hollywood family. While Michael and his mother are in California, I (his dad) have had to move to the East Coast to take care of my mother for a few months as she recovers from hip-replacement surgery. Anyway, we are all pretty well settled and Mike has been attending audition after audition...

It is now so common for Mike to get callbacks that I have stopped posting the auditions and callbacks. His agent seems to be very excited about his prospects because he has had such early success in his fledgling career. A thanks goes out to all of you who have supported Mike from day one. We really appreciate all of you!

Anyway, Mike not only got a callback but WON the LEAD role of "Shane" in the upcoming TV pilot, "Biblikids - Adam & Eve"!!! Congratulations, Mike!!! I am not sure if that is the final title or not but it is about several kids that put on plays based upon the Bible and each show is supposed to deal with common challenges faced by kids in today's world. Of course, the show has a Christian slant to it.

The series is being put together by a group of former Disney executives who are evidently striking out on their own. They are going to try and sell the pilot to various TV networks as a TV series. If they do not sell the pilot, they will be putting together the entire series onto DVD for distribution to the public. Either way, Mike is going to supposedly get his name on IMDB.com, the largest Hollywood website on the internet!

Last weekend, Mike finished the shoot for the pilot and had an absolute blast. His acting coach, Chambers Stevens, was hired by the producers to coach the all the kids in the pilot. Mike plays the oldest character. Let's hope we all get to see it on cable. If not, look for it in the video stores probably sometime early next spring or so. We will keep you informed. And thanks for your patience and support!!!

Sorry for the loooooonnnnggggg delay in updates! We have been extremely busy with getting ready to relocate to the Left Coast...

Mike has had several auditions since the last update including a short film entitled, "The Haunted Boy" where Mike earned another callback, a feature film "Air Buddies" where Mike went directly to a producer's callback without having to audition, a television show "Supernatural" where Mike got another direct producer callback and, finally...

A modeling audition for the M&M's Store Catalog (you know... the candy!) The store is a huge 28,000 sqft tourist attraction in Las Vegas containing anything and everything you could ever want to do with M&M's! (see link below)

Well, Michael GOT IT!!! It's his very first modeling gig and a big one at that! We are not sure what he will be modeling in the catalog but we will all find out when he goes to his photo shoot this upcoming Wednesday, July 20th in Hollywood.

Mike is already gaining a lot of critical exposure from his nationwide Disney Channel station promo that has been running for several weeks now. Getting his face in a big-time catalog like M&M's will continue to get Mike plenty of valuable exposure! Way to go, MIKE!

Anyway, we are all moving out to an apartment in Toluca Lake (a trendy little town between Burbank and Studio City...) the day before his photo shoot. You will still be able to contact Mike through his web site even though we will be changing addresses and phone numbers.

If we can, we will post some photos in the near future from his upcoming photo shoot as well as a couple from his Disney promo project. In the meantime, please be patient as we continue to be very busy for awhile in gettng settled...

CONGRATULATIONS A.J.!!! A belated but well deserved congratulations to our oldest son, A.J. (picture below) for getting accepted into the prestigious Zaki Gordon Film Institute at Yavapai College!

He is going to school to learn filmmaking so that he can help bring back some positive influences to modern films. All of us have become more concerned with the increasing violence and declining values in today's films. A.J., unlike so many other people, is actually going to try and DO something about it! We are VERY PROUD of you, son!

The program will totally immerse him into an intense learning environment as he takes one of his film ideas based upon the tragic loss of one of his closest friends and how it affected him and others close to him. A.J.'s film will be told in a fictional manner to protect the identity of those close to him. It is a very ambitious project and will take considerable love and dedication to bring it to fruition!

In fact, the staff at the Zaki Gordon Institute were so impressed with A.J.'s idea that they would like to have another student make a documentary of A.J. as he creates his film! Awesome! Way to go, A.J.!!! We are so very proud of you!!! Don't give up, we believe in you!!! Good luck!!!
