You can almost feel the momentum starting to build in Mike's career! After getting his first role yesterday, Mike got TWO
more callbacks today! The first callback was for the "CSI: Miami" television show and the other for the Disney project
that was reported here the other day.
Mike had his callback right away for the CSI: Miami show and felt he did very well. They liked him and taped his performance.
Now we just wait, as usual, to see if he gets the part. Keep your fingers crossed!
The Disney callback has not yet been scheduled. It should be within the next few days, though. Tonight, Mike has to go
back to his voice coach for additional work in preparation for the callback. No rest for the wicked, huh, Mike!?!
Anyway, stay tuned! Exciting things are starting to happen for Michael as these callbacks bring his total to around 12
in only about 5 months!!! Way to go, Mike!!!

CONGRATULATIONS, MIKE!!!
Today, Mike won his first role in a movie!!! He will play a supporting role in a student film called, "Old Man"!
Student films are movies that are produced by students who go to college for filmmaking at places like UCLA or USC. Before
the student graduates, he/she has to make a short thesis film. Often these films are submitted to film festivals and provide
great exposure for new actors, like Michael, to get their careers off the ground.
The movie shoots around the end of the first week in April and Mike is looking forward to working in front of the camera.
Student films are a great way for actors to build up their resumes and gain valuable experience. On one of the how-to web
sites for beginning actors, it is said that the typical young actor, if there is such a thing, will usually get their first
role after about 50 auditions. Michael has had about 25-30 so far. So, GREAT JOB Mike! We are so very proud of you!
Everyone has to pay their dues in this business but it is a fantastic feeling to know all Mike's hard work is beginning
to pay off!

After a couple of very slow weeks where Michael and a lot of his actor friends were sitting around waiting for auditions,
activity has once again picked up in a big way...
Tomorrow, Michael has an audition for a leading role in a project called, "Hoot", where the character is a 14
year old kid named Roy who moves to Florida with his parents and goes through a lot of experiences in trying to adapt to his
new town...
On Thursday, Michael has an audition for a guest starring role on an episode of the popular television show, CSI: Miami.
Following that, Mike has an audition for an unnamed musical project for Disney in which Mike will actually have to sing! Of
course, he is going to meet with his acting coach, Chambers Stevens, for the Hoot audition and his other coach, Gary Hudson,
for the CSI: Miami tryout. In addition, Mike has to go to a couple of classes with his new voice coach for the singing role.
Homework is having to take a back seat for a few days so it is a good thing that Michael has had a couple weeks to get
a little ahead of schedule... Break a leg, Mike!

Since the last update, Michael has been very busy with several auditions including voiceovers and television pilots. The most
recent being an audition for a leading role in the upcoming television pilot, "Don't Ask".
During his voiceover auditions, Mike got yet another callback - this one his 9th callback since he arrived in Hollywood
back in October! Great job, Mike!
Everyone seems to think Michael is doing great and progressing very quickly. With about a month to go in pilot season,
Mike is tired from all the running around (in Hollywood as well as going back and forth between LA and AZ) but still very
excited with every new audition opportunity. And to his credit, he is still running straight A's in all of his school work!
