Mike gets another callback!!! In keeping with his rapidly developing trend, Michael has earned yet another callback audition!
This time for the pilot, "Fathom". His callback audition is scheduled for this Monday, January 31. Congratulations,
Mike!!! This is Michael's 5th callback since he has been in LA (3 1/2 months).
Michael is improving extremely quickly for his level of experience. In fact, his primary acting coach, Chambers Stevens,
claimed Michael was the hardest working actor he has ever worked with as an acting coach. In addition, Chambers, who is an
amazing acting coach, called Mike "my little Brad Pitt!" Kris Kyer, another of Mike's talented acting coaches calls
Michael "a very promising young actor!" And Gary Hudson, veteran of literally dozens of film and television roles
told Mike's mom, "you have quite a talented little actor in Michael!"
Obviously, Michael is making exciting progress in his new career. Once again, congratulations Michael! And "break
a leg" on Monday!

Michael's mom had to buy a new swimsuit for him last night since his manager called and told them he was scheduled for an
audition for a commercial for Sprint today that evidently has him in swimwear (his 2nd time at this) for this project. Commercial
auditions are odd in that Michael does not get to know his part or if there is any script until he shows up at the casting
director's offices for the audition.
For theatrical auditions (television & movies) he gets a copy of the "sides" (or portions of the script)
usually at least a day or two in advance so he can memorize it and practice with his acting coach. On a rare occasion, he
gets his sides only hours in advance.
Also, Michael has to meet with Gary Hudson now on Saturday just an hour or so in advance of the audition for the "Fathom"
pilot. Nothing like the last minute!
Next week is also already starting to fill up for Mike as he has more lessons, a voice-over recording session on next
Wednesday (for animated television shows and movies) as well as a voice-over workshop. In addition, a week from tomorrow,
Michael resumes the commercial workshops with Kris Kyer.
As you might guess, since Mike is so busy, he rarely has time to meet any new friends, except through acting. Just last
week, Mike met and trained with Weston Maguire, brother of Tobey Maguire (star of Spiderman, Seabiscuit, etc.) and has become
fast friends. The only problem is that Weston lives over in Malibu while Michael is living about an hour away in Burbank.
Such is life in acting...
Stay tuned.

This Saturday, my manager has scheduled an audition for a brand new Paramount Studios television series pilot named, "Fathom".
I am going to be trying out for the part of "Miles" as a series regular. Miles appears to be a regular surfer-type
kid who accidently discovers a strange sea creature while wakeboarding out in the ocean. Wish me luck!
Tomorrow, I have to go over to Santa Monica to work with my acting coach, Gary Hudson (he's been in BAZILLIONS of TV shows
and movies) for this audition. Gary is really cool. My mom really doesn't like the long drive over to Santa Monica, though.
That and I can't begin to tell you how tough it is to keep up with my school work in the middle of all this. It's really not
easy! Take my word for it!

This Sunday, I have an audition for a starring role in an independent feature film called, "Instant Dads". It seems
to be a touching comedy about a kid, who has been raised by his mom, who now has to go live with his dad because his mom has
terminal cancer. The catch is that his dad is gay and has no idea that he has a son from the one girl he slept with back in
high school. The kid's dad is now living with another guy and has to adjust to suddenly being a father for a kid he never
knew he had!
As a further note, the actress who plays the mom also played one of the hot chicks from one of the Austin Powers movies!
She also played in Minority Report, Pearl Harbor and Coyote Ugly. Too bad she's too old for me, huh?
Anyway, the kid is supposed to be like 10 years old. However, when they found out I was 13, they still wanted me to audition
because they might rewrite the script to make the kid older. Let's hope so! Wish me luck!
